Photography Boxes
Are daylight bulbs any good for a photography white box?
I would like to make a lit whitebox for photographing coins ect. Would a 100w daylight (blue) bulb work , if they would how many and where would you position them. I am going to design the box to be able to photograph from above and from the front.

It’s designed principally for use with flashes, but continuous lights (or even window light) will work fine.
A daylight bulb is, by definition, supposed to be giving out a standard daylight colour temperature, but whatever you use make sure if its more than one source (ie a light either side of the box) that they’re the same. It will make correcting any white balance in camera (or in post processing) much easier.
