Where can I get an external flash for Canon IXUS 50?

Hi,
I once saw a picture of a sort of external flash booster, for a Canon Digital IXUS 50. It was held on to the main body of the camera with a bracket of some kind. It was written that the flash is much more powerful than the built in flash.
I have searched all over the net for this image again, but cannot find it. I have been on dozens of photography sites, Canon, etc, but all to no avail.
I saw it only for a few moments as I had to go to another page. I would really like to check it out for my camera.
My wife thinks It must have been a dream, but I know I saw it.
Thanks.
Tony.

There is no offical canon product. You may have seen a contax g camera which has a similar finish to the ixus cameras and has a very compact hotshoe flash.

The only current canon compacts that are suitable for external flashguns are the g7, g9 and soon to be launched g10.

The other option is to get a small slave flash and extension bracket.
You could get a workable set up for £30, but it wont match in terms of finush and will mean a bit of hit and miss getting the flash exposures right.

If you want more control then a camera like the ixus isn’t the best starting point.
