Photography lighting term – what does cowbell mean?
I asked on flickr how to seperate a model dressed in black form a black backdrop – one answer was: “rim light would be fine, but personally, I think you might need a little more cowbell.” I understand what rim light is but what is cowbell? thanks for your help!
I think someone is being a bit of a smart a** and referring to the Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken playing the part of a producer for Blue Oyster Cult while they recorded “Don’t Fear the Reaper”. You can probably find it on you tube if you’re curious.
